I just read an interesting post on Genea-Musings asking my favorite genealogy gift that I received.
My favorite actual gift that somebody purchased and gave me was the book Discover Your Family History Online by Nancy Hendrickson. I got this book as a library e-book a few months ago and it had some great research tips in it.
I asked for it for Christmas and was lucky enough to receive it. I’ve already checked three to four sections in it when running into obstacles.
The second gift I got was the unexpected chance to add some photos of my grandfather to my 1000memories.com account. We were at my Dad’s new apartment helping to unpack some stuff when he pulled out several old photos from the 1930s or so of my grandfather. One was a great portrait from Italy, and the other was in poor condition but fun to see. Photo of him in the navy.
